Speaking to talkSPORT, Eubank Jr clarified his father'south function in his team these days and why it has been scaled back.

"He'south a part of my management team. He'south an counselor and he'll always be with me" he told talkSPORT.

"He'south always been around. I've learnt so much from my father but equally I've gotten older, he'southward taken a pace back because I've become my own person. Early on in my career, I didn't really want to talk too much.

"All I wanted to do was fight. All I wanted to do was evidence people wrong. I didn't desire to talk and exercise the promotional side of things equally a youngster, so I estimate that'due south why my father was there doing it for me.

"Now that I've been there and done it, I know the steps and I know the process, so now I'1000 a lot more comfortable beingness in front of a camera and my father has taken a backseat.

"You accept to become your own man. There is a stage in every man'south life where you have to walk the path past yourself and that's where I'yard at," he added.

With a huge domestic showdown looming, Eubank Jr believes a win here will pb to either world titles or big names.

"Yeah, information technology has to exist," Eubank Jr said of a world championship fight after Williams. "And if for some reason it isn't, and so it'll be a big name.
